TAIBU is a Kiswahilie word used by well wishers. It means: “be in good health”.
The name encapsulates the vision of TAIBU, which is promoting “healthy, vibrant and sustainable communities creating our own solution.”
TAIBU Community Health Centre provides comprehensive primary healthcare in combination with health promotion programs and activities. We also work in close partnership with other community-based health and social services.
Community Development Programs
Community Development and Capacity Building are key ingredients for the health and wellbeing of a population. This is particularly true for racialized & marginalized communities. It is only when a community is empowered, engaged, well informed and active that it begins to take ownership of its health and wellbeing.
At TAIBU CHC all our programs and services are designed and delivered with this philosophy.
